How can Proton monitor the dark web for my SSN if ive never given it to them?

    That's somebody's SSN maybe (I just typed random numbers and added dashes). Knowing an SSN alone doesn't enable a crook to do much of anything. They need to tie it to other information which proton presumably has. Now if I told you that number belonged to John Doe of Walla Walla, WA with this yahoo email and that September birthday, now an identity can be stolen with ease.

    We're in unmarked territory and all I can think of are the abuses. Does somebody have a little hope they can spare?

The fact it doesn't bother you tells me you really don't give a shit about personal rights because they're in your favor. Have some respect for your fellow citizens and keep religion out of schools.
