Have any od you ever made a map with space curvature (i.e. some place is is in reality bigger/smaller, than on the outside)?
  • Do you mean you want to

    1. Create a map and make some portion of the map bigger with space curvature to show more details
    2. or Create a map of a (fantasy) world where there actually is space curvature, and in that world a place actually looks smaller from the outside?
  • Waterdeep Dragon Heist: Establishing a new guild
  • Make up some requirements to be able to create a guild (maybe there is a guilds-guild where you need to register). Requirements could be:

    1. A fee to register your guild. This could be very expensive. Maybe they can find an investor but need to do a favour for them first.
    2. You need a location inside Waterdeep. Also expensive, maybe they can get one via a quest. Or if they have Trollskull Manor, they could make some changes to the building to make it suitable as a guild house.
    3. You need at least 15 members. They need to try to recruit people.
    4. ...

Also, maybe some other guilds are not happy with this (they think there are already too many guilds, or the guild is too similar to their guild) and they try to sabotage the players.

  • We're halfway through the year. How many books have you read so far and are you on track for your goal? Favorite books so far? Least favorite?
  • I've read 9 books so far this year. I used to read a lot as a kid/teen, but barely read anything since I started working (For example It took me over 1.5 years to read Dune, which I finished this year). In march I decided to start reading more again. My goal is 12 books a year, so I'm on track. I no longer take my smartphone with me when I go to sleep and that helped a lot, less distraction.

    Favourites this year:

    • Started reading the Discworld novels (City watch series). The series as a whole is fantastic, but my favourite so far is Jingo.
    • A non-fiction dutch book called Terroristenjager. It's about someone who worked in the special forces of Belgium and how everything changed with the terrorist attacks in Brussels a couple of years ago.

    Least favourite

    • I've only read classics this year, they were al very good, no clear winner (or loser) here..
  • Favourite Discworld adaptations

I recently saw Good Omens (Not Discworld, but still a Terry Pratchett adaptation) and I really enjoyed it.

I was wondering what you think the best Discworld adaptations are? I saw some trailers but most of them didn't look that great to me.. But I'd love to give some a chance if there are any recommendations?
