My last pair was GE. They both started failing around 4 years but we dealt with the issues for another year until the dryer just stopped moving. I feel like 5 years is our average so if I get that I'll be ok I guess. I think it's because my wife is crazy when it comes to clothes and have 2 kids so there's literally a load to 2 loads every day, and it gets a lot of use compared to others. I remember when it was just myself I did 2 loads a week!
You just made me realize i haven't heard them in forever, and I see now it's because he died a while back... they were a solid band, and I even got to see them at Bonnaroo like 15 years ago, which was a solid set.
I just did the same 2 weeks ago! Only difference is i spent about 15 minutes and picked 2 new ones online and got them delivered and hooked up 2 days later. I couldn't resist when we saw costco had a samsung dryer marked down to $375 which is normally over 1k. I think it's because it was a color they didn't make anymore so my win i guess! Best deal I've ever found. The washer we just got low-end but different brand then the one we had because it only lasted 5 years. Since we brought 2 items it was another $100 off. Costco was the best since the prices were mostly the same but cost nothing extra for delivery, parts, hookup, and takeaway. I agree, we didn't care about them matching either so it worked out.
Meh, snack wrap was way better at Wendy's. Sadly, both went away at the same time in 2020, i always figured it was due to covid. Wendy's brought it back as well last year i think, but it was different. First they made it bigger and 2nd of course it costs like $8 now so it's not worth it. The other sad part is Wendy's killed the grilled chicken option, but apparently, that's all the wraps use so why have it removed?
Wow, I for one, can't wait until we have peak content like this over here.
Exactly! Same boat, I am too poor to move! Due to missed payments on mortgage, credit cards, and medical bills, our credit score is abysmal. There is no way we can get a new mortgage or pass credit checks for an apartment. On top of that I don't have the time or money to invest into the house so there are many things that need to be fixed, some of these absolutely need to before selling it so I also can't just sell either. 3rd, you're right. Wherever I do end up moving (if somehow we did get approved), it's probably going to cost more due to higher interest rates, and it will most likely cost more. We are praying to make it a few more years until stupid daycare is done so we can finally make ends meet a little...
I never thought I would be in this bad of a situation in my life, but here I am and I just want to survive each day. Thinking about money every day for years now is tiring and stressful. They have a name for it, its called poverty brain.
It hasn't even been an entire month yet...
Holy crap, it's I Think You Should Leave the movie! Oh boy I haven't been this excited for a movie in a while.
I would say yes just because it's asked every year I do my taxes. I'm pretty sure you have to report it when you do this, but I am not sure if it's just as information or to tax you some more. I never had to say yes to find out.
Yup, I saw this and wondered if anyone knew. I'm not good at these, but this one hit me as soon as I saw it.
Were just gonna leave out the loving memorial to OJ?
I read way too much of this before realizing it's not real... so insane that this can even seem 100% real at all. I had no reason not to believe it. What a time to be alive.
That would be bad news for the frogs.
I learned this the hard way as well... I did a big OS update on mine once and it broke almost every application running on it. Docker worked perfectly still. I transferred everything I could to Docker after that.

Looks like it is about to get even worse.

My favorite comfort food pot roast. Let it cook all day yesterday on low heat. Reminds me of my childhood, of course it's never as good.
This is super weird. I heard this just last week on the radio. I love Yo La Tengo but I guess I missed this one. I knew it was them as soon as it came on. Great cover.
I thought about this and imo I give them a pass. It's just the successor to the switch, it is just called the switch 2. Why would we expect it to offer or be anything different than what it already is? Honestly, I wonder how much time they spent trying to decide if they should even go the new console route or just call it a pro edition.
I think the next console release will tell a lot more regarding this. More than ever, the next console releases will really need to bring something new to the table since, at this point, there's very little difference between getting a nice PC or a console outside exclusives. I think those lines will continue to blur so consoles absolutely need to start evolving into something more or possibly lose more people to PC rigs.
I would say the GameCube was new and different for them because they transitioned from cartridge to disc, and of course, they had to use the mini disc to be extra different from the rest.
