the market was left to decide how to deploy labor, technology and capital in the belief that efficiency and growth would automatically follow
This idea that the invisible hand of the market would have allocated resources in the most efficient way is the biggest lie ever told to the people.
I really hope the whole idea of globalization dies and nations start to bring back labour previously exported elsewhere. The funny part is that we knew this would have happened, but nobody cared to changed the system.
Good to know that you're not contrary, however, I just wanted to bring an idea to the attention of the community. Right now I have neither the time nor the knowledge to do such a thing.
I still don't understand how I this services communicate each other. Ok, they use the same protocol, but practically how can I, on Lemmy, access content from PeerTube or Mastodon?
I joined Lemmy two weeks ago, yet, I still spend most of my "Social network time" on Reddit. And the reason is that Reddit has more things to see, more interesting posts to interact with and so on.
I think that we that are already here should "prepare the place" so that others may come. And preparing the place means exactly creating posts and commenting. As simple as that.
I absolutely love Coup and it has been a struggle finding it. Some months ago I've been able to buy both the base and the expansion from some guy I found on bbg. While, recently I've also been able to buy Coup Rebellion! I think it makes Coup even better because it adds more variety (despite sacrificing setup semplicity tho).
Having to live in the US is already a punishment, being inmate is like being in a prison inside a prison.
