It's different from when they are using it as leverage vurses using it to relate. When it's used to relate it's a completely justified use of the word.

I despise when women say "I'm an empath" and then continue to tell you how you feel when that is not actually how I feel. No. You don't get to claim to know me better than I do.

I think sympathy can be something you can try and understand but not fully grasp. I can TRY and understand why women are emotional during menstruation, but will I ever KNOW what that feels like? No I won't.

Yea and no. I was by no means the guy everyone wanted to hang out with. But I did know and hang out with and eclectic collection of people. I got along with everyone. Probably because I thought and still think most people are cool in their own right and you just gotta find that for them.

Same. I'm not the tallest but I have been told I'm intimidating several times. I have boxed and I have been in actual fights. I would not call myself a Mike Tyson by any stretch of the imagination. Yes. It's a polite way of being racist with most. And if they are asked, they say "I can't be racist [so and so] is my friend and they are black" or some dumb shit.

Anger can be a mask. It's also real. When you have an ex wife lie to your kids and hurt him. You just want to smack the shit out of her to teach her for the 1000th time he isn't a play toy. Or the kid that picks on him because he's new and his mom just left and you want to tell that kid he doesn't understand who he's fucking with.

I know this sounds unhinged. Nothing was done and things are pretty stable now. However at the time anger is real that someone is mistreated and did absolutely nothing to deserve such treatment.
