Where my waitlis-ties at? 😭
  • I wish actual fans would get through... I've gotten waitlisted repeatedly now. I'm sick of seeing tickets get scooped and sold for dumb prices. It just hurts.

Female profesionals: where do you buy your business casual clothing?
  • https://a.co/d/h2pOn4t I'm obsessed with these pants from Amazon. They're comfy like yoga pants but they look put together. I wear them with a body suit and a cardigan that hits around my waist or just above my hip bone. I hate picking out work outfits so I basically wear the same 5ish outfits on a rotation.

  • Have any of you found Kindle unlimited worth it for science fiction?
  • Not OP but I have both Libby and Cloud Library because I have library cards for 2 different libraries. I default to Libby but if they don't have the book I'm looking for I check Cloud Library. Both are really easy to use though. There's usually a wait-list for new/popular books, but sometimes your library will acquire additional digital copies. It'll tell you your expected wait time and how many people are in front of you.

  • Dealing with a partner who talks and acts like a small child?
  • I was wondering if it was something like that. Like maybe she finally feels secure/safe enough to start dealing with childhood trauma and it's presenting in this way.

  • thanks for the logical explanation and thanks especially for all of the hard work you put into bringing Boost for Lemmy to us! downloading it made my day.

  • I watched it today thanks to your comment! :)

  • I saved this to my "watch later" on YT. y'all know exactly how that's gonna go...

  • What's the scary folk lore from your culture?
  • I didn't realize it was based on the Blair witch project. I should pick that podcast back up. the first season was a lot of fun!

  • Parenting advice YouTuber Ruby Franke and business partner to remain jailed on child abuse charges
  • I can maybe answer some of that. fell down this weird rabbit hole about her family last year. the friend is some kind of professional (psychologist maybe?), so Ruby would leave her kids with her for "treatment." they sent the oldest son to one of those weird wilderness "camps" which sounded a lot like the type of "school" Paris Hilton was at. so leaving the other kids at the friend's house isnt so far fetched.

I'm really confused about the dad. he was in so many videos and clearly involved enough with the family to know there was some fucked up shit happening. Ruby was clearly in charge, but he was there.

the whole story is so awful and I'm glad the kids are finally getting help.

  • I learned something new today! I didn't know you could change apps on Android and now I feel a bit silly.

  • r/place extension going as expected
  • I've been wondering if that was the case. Do you remember the whole Ellen Pao thing? She was the fall guy for unpopular changes too. I'm kind of hoping it goes the same way where spez steps down and they roll back some of the changes at least. Not looking too good though...

  • Reddit is bringing back r/Place at perhaps the worst possible time
  • Last time I was happily making the Skyrim logo with r/Skyrim. This time I won't participate. Losing reddit still hurts but I'm happy to be here with y'all.

  • Netflix just axed its basic ad-free plan in the US and UK
  • I was just about to switch to that tier yesterday but the option was already gone. Guess I'll just cancel instead.
