  • The crazy thing is that many of them still hold on to Reagan's racist "welfare queen" bullshit while benefiting from the very same programs and more. I actually know these folks, they are related to me, and from different ethnic backgrounds (I have an extremely mixed family, even for the US).

  • I feel you. I was apparently diagnosed very young, and everyone (including my younger sibling) knew except me. I didn't find out until my mom casually said something about it when I was over for dinner at 24. That was a bit upsetting.

  • This is also the largest issue with the ability of the populace to stop him. The military and militarized police are with him. They could have refused this order, as they're sworn to do, but they didn't. Maybe the lower level enlisted didn't have the knowledge of the order's legality, but the NCOs and officers commanding them certainly did. They are class traitors and present as a monumental obstacle to the rest of us.

  • Usually, this type of thing is used to deny the severity of the climate crisis. "There always been people who think they're living in the end times!" We have the data. This isn't wild speculation or belief in the supernatural. The effects will be catastrophic no matter what at this point, and it only worsens each day the machine chugs along.

  • They have, to my great surprise, even been harassing and detaining whites. I think there is typically a political slant to it, however. They can't have nonracist and/or nonfascist whites coming through.
