Because they are stealing money from the rest of Spain and work to worsen the lives of people in other regions for their own benefit. I'm not gong to support that by giving them money.

Is this guy serious? It wasn't detected before kids got sick, they still don't know what happened and he's talking about 'robust regulatory process'? Here in EU I always check where products come from (not to buy something from Catalonia by accident) and all the food is made in EU. It's because there are strict regulations on food safety, workplace safety, monitoring and so on. Countries that do now meet those requirements have tariffs put on their food and there's extra requirements and check on imports (ask the UK). That's why I keep hearing about cases here where they recall some food before anyone gets sick. But yeah, bringing food from Ecuador, waiting for kids to get sick and then trying to figure out what happened is 'robust regulatory process'. Amazing.

It's not making Turing test obsolete. It was obvious from day 1 that Turing test is not an intelligence test. You could simply create a sufficiently big dictionary of "if human says X respond with Y" and it would fool any person that its talking with a human with 0 intelligence behind it. Turing test was always about checking how good a program is at chatting. If you want to test something else you have to come up with other test. If you want to test chat bots you will still use Turing test.

Weird, in my case it was only in elementary school. High school was not mandatory so the disruptive kids simply didn't go there.

Edit: Oh, just realized that you probably also have middle school. I didn't. It was the same school from age 7 to 15. Education was mandatory till 18 or 16 yo so the school was stuck with all the stupid kids till then.

I'm just saying... you never had a kid in class that was years older then everyone else, not doing shit, disrupting class all the time, getting violent and ending up in jail for attempt murder just after leaving school? I had. I wish there was a way to get him out of school earlier. I would be a better environment for everyone. But there wasn't so they had to deal with him till he was 18 yo. Then on the other hand if you let teachers kick kids out they will get lazy and start locking up children for anything like in Texas.

I once pushed a git commit with youtube link as the commit message. Nothing terrible, some completely random video. Still, it looked really weird in the commit history. Turns out you can edit this if you have access to the server and I did have access to the server.

One time in the same company I found a random youtube link in the middle of a java class. Yes, it was still compiling. No I didn't commit it.

Last year they fired a guy from my team but didn't cut his access first. In the 15 minutes between HR talk and desktop support actually closing his accounts he managed to send messages to all C*O and some managers telling them how unfair it was (it was totally fair) and accusing the company and his manager of racism.
