I had a quick look and yeah, $100 for a good, wireless keyboard is not that much. It definitely happened to me once or twice that I had to type directly on my Raspberry Pi fresh after installation when I didn't have my key mappings set up there. Other than that I just switch single USB cable between two computers on the same desk and that's it. If I ever have to work on a Mac again I will take another look tough. Do they have Linux software?
Relax, no one here is saying that rape is ok. What people have issue with is actually calling it "virtual rape". It's stupid and pretty offensive to actual rape victims. Trying to classify it as a sexual offense in legal terms doesn't make any sense. It's all just avatars and animations. It would be possible for 10 year old boys to "virtually rape" grown women or even for 10 year old girls to virtually rape grown men. What's next? Assaulting people by showing them images? Fraud charges for rick rolling someone?
Common sense approach is to say that if this would happen repeatedly to a user and it would be intentionally directed at them in order to make them leave the game it could be considered harassment. Same as sending someone offensive messages. That's it.
Where do you use it? Do you have to use different computers at work or do you just carry your keyboard with you all the time in case you have to use some friend's computer?
You got lucky. I also bought the wireless dongle and my phone was not compatible. Only the latest phones are but the requirements are nowhere to be found. I also tried a simple phone with android Go but turns out Go does not support android auto at all. This is also not said anywhere on android auto page. Now I have another ohone and a cable and it does mostly work but the voice assistant (like the most important feature when driving) is buggy, the screen gets all messed up from time to time, support for it in apps is still not great and of course it all goes through google so bye bye privacy. Of course it's better than the infotainment systems that all the car brands had because it's does support more apps and the big car display is better than phone holder but overall it still sucks. A truly open standard that would let phones just display stuff on the car's screen and get input from it would be so much better but of course there's no hope for it.
Android auto is, to put it lightly, shit. The compatibility issues itself are enough to make one vomit (try finding out what's required to use wireless connection) but once you manage to connect it it just gets worse and worse. I would not put it on my main phone even if it did work. Instead I bough cheap stock android phone and got a cheap, data only SIM (€2/month). The phone stays in my car, is not used for anything else and doesn't have any personal accounts. I'm fairly happy with this setup.
We're talking about safe spaces again. Some people are hyper sensitive to things other people can tolerate just fine. It's tricky to protect those people without criminalising behaviours that are harmless in normal circumstances. Once you criminalise everything everyone can become a criminal.
It's like every day I'm learning about new thing that just works in Europe but is completely broken in US. Are they choosing wrong solutions on purpose?
IDK, personally I find it funny that people making shitload of money only because of their faces are suddenly discovering they are not that special. Like the songs made with AI auto tune that are getting more plays than originals. Hilarious.
Same with Chris Rock and Luis C.K. Sooooooo not funny. It's like they got infected by some unfunny virus when they did "Talking funny" with Seinfeld. Or it's just really hard to stay funny as you get older. Carlin was amazing all his life but who else? Maybe comedians are like boxers? They don't have an old timers day...
Switching to an EV is not "free". You have to do some research, learn some new things and gain a bit of experience. Some people (for example the elderly but also stupid people) will have real issues adapting to new infrastructure. Even more people are simply to lazy to bother, will always see the effort required to switch to an EV as completely unnecessary and will complain loudly when forced to do it. The best option would be probably to wait for "EV first" generations of drivers to simply replace the current ones but we don't have time for it. Other option would be to make the switch completely painless (imagine having a charging plug right next to the gasoline dispenser on every gas station, simply choose from diesel, gas or electric) but we're currently very very far away from this dream. So yeah, the only option is to force people slowly to make the effort and at the same time work on making it easy enough so they don't revolt.
That's what virtualization is for.
