What are some good funny games/mods out there?
  • Oh, something I thought of, there is a ROM Hack for Super Mario World I'd recommend, too, called "Diagonal Mario 2". Being in that community, I know of several fun, funny, and trolly hacks- but Diagonal really doesn't rely on SMW, kaizo, or community knowledge. Its humour and gameplay are pretty accessible for anyone.

  • There is a mod made for Halo: Custom Edition called "Cursed Halo". The creator, Inferno Plus, has made three versions, now, and the newest is for Halo: Master Chief Collection. The humour is abundant, and it is an absolute ride when he makes a new version.

  • When you are out of anecdotal evidence, just scream that the opponent is moving goal posts.

I'm all for phasing landlords out of society, but DAMN! Idiots like you really make it hard to take your side.

  • I think you may have read the data wrong, in two places it says

Most rental properties – about seven-in-ten – are owned by individuals, who typically own just one or two properties, according to 2018 census data.

    and

Businesses own larger shares of units because individuals, while far more numerous, tend to own one or two properties at most, while businesses’ holdings are larger. In fact, 72.5% of single-unit rental properties are owned by individuals, while 69.5% of properties with 25 or more units are owned by for-profit businesses.

The first sounds like most (read: more than 50%) do, but, and I may be reading the census data wrong, it seems like less than 20% own a single property for rent. The use of typically would indicate that most do, but they don't actually include the data in the article, which is odd and worrying.

The second also looks like it agrees with your assessment, but it actually kinda says the opposite- 72.5% of people who own single units for rental are individuals. This is surprising because it means there are 27.5% of single unit properties that are owned by businesses. However, it doesn't mean that 72.5%, or even 50% of individuals (individual landlords) own a single unit to rent.

This article all comes from the 2018 census, when the 2021 census is also available, but I wasn't able parse either very well.

  • I hate it when you get 4 bad wheels
  • Yeah, sure, buying the mugshot is clearly going to support him. Posting it as a meme isn't.

I'm not particularly happy either way, I don't want to see his face. I just don't think it is pro-trump propaganda.

But also, seriously, don't buy that merch.

  • Hello, I'm new here
  • I don't know about Dream.AI, but DALLE and Stable Diffusion both allow you to "fix" or regenerate areas.

Also... content aware in PS is practically the same photo generation AI. But that might be too dumb to do anything but "skin over" the eye.

  • Rockstar selling you cracked copies on Steam
  • I don't know about Diablo 2, but Blizzard is so shady and messed up nowadays that I wouldn't be surprised that they "lost the source code" to prevent modders being able to port games, etc.

As for transformers, it was never lost (PCGamer, if you don't like Xfire). Hasbro claimed they wanted to provide access to legacy games, but completely made up that the source was lost. Now that we know that the source is still available... well, Hasbro clearly hasn't tried to rerelease those games.

(note: I know this is the same company, Activision Blizzard in both cases. For anyone reading who doesn't know, they were not the same company for the release of Diablo II, and a good amount of time afterwards.)

  • Not counting games that were unfun because of bugs, what’s the most unfun video game that you’ve played and what made it unfun?
  • Halo excelled at being a FPS on console before auto aim and aim assist were a thing. The terrible, tank-like movement and super floaty, slow jumps would be trash in any PC FPS around its time. But having players move at Quake speeds in Halo would be frustrating, and no one would hit things in multiplayer.

Or would, on a game without modern control assist, anyways. Games don't tend to be as fast as they used to, and Halo has really sped up as a series, but it is still on the slower side.

  • Except this isn't part of the same general category. It's not a meme. At all. The only thing related is that pictures get posted in this sub, and you had a picture.

Could have posted in a Canadian or shitpost or 196 magazine or something.

  • It's a kbin setting... It needs some refining. There is no @ autocomplete, so turning it on is the only way to have easy access to the names of who you want to ping. But people who don't know how it works...

Anyways, you also have to turn on notifications to see if people respond to you in kbin. So it needs some work.

  • Nah, OP doesn't have a point. Most of these comments are calling out the lack of a point, but you are looking for "objectivity"...?

I don't think anyone cares about your "apolitical" point of view that is clearly political. I would post something to r/EnlightenedCentrism, but I don't know a magazine for that.

  • How was inside for you?
  • INSIDE was easier than LIMBO, but a worthy spiritual successor. Very good in the genres of puzzle platformer and horror. No cheap tricks, just good work all the way through.

The story is VERY open ended, and I felt a little slighted at first, but it grew on me. As far as very open ended stories, so was LIMBO's.

  • I'm pretty sure he started his own studio because they fired him. Though I suppose that's just order of operations.

The weird part was they denied to the public that he would no longer be working for Konami. Kojima was verbal for months that he was no longer working for Konami, they just pretended he still did.
