  • I've been ten keyless or 75% for a very long time now. I actually like the separate number pad because I prefer it on the left.

Offer me a full sized with the mimosas (numpad, autocarrot and swipettpe hate me) on the left, and my attention would be full.

  • 75%er here. I'm content.

  • Spoken to someone who might work 60 minutes a week.

He can get fucked by his 60 hour work week. Sideways.

  • Awwww, it's projecting! How adorable!

pinches meme's cheeks like the auntie everyone avoids because their cheeks hurt for days after

  • Origami and handmade cards are very thoughtful. :)

Keep trying with the folds, one day you'll forget to check the videoguide!

  • I have, many times, and nothing changes, always an excuse, they forgot or were distracted by something more important. Hence why I have completely given up trying to plan anything. Like talking to a brick wall. Things only happen when I take the initiative. Special days, house repairs, appointments...

  • Dud. After years of having to remind, plan and remind the other half again and again, I gave up and said nothing last year. Nothing happened. Nothing happened again this year. Next up - Mother's Day, which I expect to be equally nothing, just like last year.

I can't wait for the complaints that I planned nothing for birthdays or Father's Day.

  • I have five or six on the go. Can't tell if I've ever lost one. Win-win!

  • It's a book of psalms and prayers. The idea of someone asking what passage they should read and being answered with "The spider bookmarked one" brings me joy.

  • Chaotic good. I have bookmarks, I just forget to use them.

I have a very old book (published in 1794) that has leaves, spiders, some writing, as well as fire and water damage. Not worth anything in the condition it's in, but it's mine and I love it. I've always wanted to know why there were spiders in it, but I'm thankful it's not bound in human leather.

Save for a few I bought second hand, and the first book I ever owned (I managed to have it signed by the author 20 years later) the rest of my books look like they are fresh off a bookstore shelf.

  • I would certainly check one out. Federated instances are a good start, being able to curate my own feeds and interests (tags being hijacked is a PITA) but I hold concern of the eventual crap creep.

I think I am in my Old Person Yells At Internet era.

  • It's not virtue signalling if you truly mean it.

Our feeds should be our own.

I quit Crackbook a decade ago over the algorithm forcing shit at me I had no interest in.

That's when I learned what a dark pattern was. I started seeing it pop up nearly everywhere that used algorithms.

Did the same with Twatter a few years ago. Again, I was over being forced to see shit I had zero interest in. This time I removed my footprint, leaving a handful of posts.

No one noticed either time I'd left. (No one ever does. That's a whole other rant about the state of anti social media.)

Never used Threads. Won't even click on the ones that are shoved at me through Insta.

Kept Insta for patterns and recipes, and over time I've stopped engaging on the platform. It's just as bad as the others for the algorithm and ads. Staying is on me, I know. Sunk cost fallacy or whatever. I didn't want to lose my collection of patterns that exist no where else.

I started the process of removing what little remains of my presence on IG. Discovered I'm not allowed to remove likes 'to protect the community'. Deleting my own content bugs out often. Removing saved bookmarks bugs out often. No way to keep the videos I refer to often to make things.

Damned straight I mean it when I say I will cease using Meta products. I am tired of being told how to use something, or how I should think and what I should believe.

Zuck can fuck all the way off.

  • Not too many games, but I played the hell out of a few. (So glad there isn't an total hours played stat)

Would have more dwarf, but the guy I was playing with decided he was too good to play with me, and I got bored playing solo.

  • LOL. I found it offensive when it first aired. LTTP millenials.

  • Mine went away in my teens, but only after learning to sing. (Vocal training, not speech therapy). It did make a sporadic appearance for the next 20 or so years, typically when overly tired or stressed.

It unfortunately returned as I got older. It's less annoying than aphasia. (I lie, it's still annoying, and the two together are calm destroying.)
