
Its a pretty challenging achievement. Tried to get Taking the Mick and Pacifist on the same run but only made it to floor 6 until i ran out of healing potions. Next time going to be easy with a good armour and at least 30 PoH.
Time to get all of the new badges in a single run on release day!

I was pretty much unstoppable with this RoF, RoH ,Projecting Dirk and Wand of Regrowth combo. Brawler's stance hitting 33-98dmg from behind grass. Combo was even stronger as i had Strongman+2 for extra damage and vision granted by Arcane Vision+2.
Eye of newt+3 is crazy good if you are playing with the challenge into the darkness. Parchment scrap is my second favorite.
Turn on some challenges and try to get the million score achievement.
I actually went out and tested again, same conclusion.
Floor 1 with a sacrifice room, killed all the enemies could not find any more. Cleared the second floor and went back to floor 1 ran around, stood still and watched doors zoomed out (4000 game duration on floor 1). No more enemies or door movement.
This has been an occurring problem for me with Swarm Intelligence as you too often end up killing all of the enemies before finding the sacrifice room.
Could we have the sacrificial altar removed from floor 1 generation as the first floor does not spawn endless enemies?
Too often you find the altar when there are no enemy left to sacrifice.
Well that removes an extra step then!
I often bless one of the ankhs if i find an extra healing and my waterskin is full for a piece of mind. Yes its often necessary to heal with unblessed ankhs in boss rooms.
I once had a full waterskin, blessed anhk and an extra anhk on a 9 chal ascension.

I bet you could have made it with barren land and into darkness active. Hunter has mind vision talents available to combat limited vision and into darkness is nothing more than managing the use of the torches. The trinket Eye of Newt +3 granting you 5 tiles of mind vision helps a lot.
Just a while ago i learned that you can throw the waterskin into a healing well to fill it so you can bless your ankhs even with barren land turned on.
Warrior. Does indeed need something to make you want to play after the first time. Tier 1 talent Hearty meal could make him more engaging by giving him some shielding on his broken seal to utilize provoked anger more often. Combining buffed hearty meal with iron stomach could give him the edge to survive otherwise game ending scenarios. Tier 3 talent strongman has always felt unnecessary to me so that could be something.
More badges or a challenge to test the skill of experienced players. I was not a fan of Grandmaster researcher :D. I would like to see more challenging badges like Golden champion and Grandmaster score chaser.
Endless mode. I always felt it would be cool to adventure outside the dungeon after ascending with a day and night cycle. Something about seeing the sky, clouds and stars on the ascension screen makes you wonder. What does the world outside the dungeon look like?
Extension for the adventure. A final quest for the hero to break apart the Amulet of Yendor to fire, water, nature and dark. Embark on a journey across the land to seal away the amulet into four different locations (Volcano, Icy mountain, jungle and an ancient temple), so the power of the amulet can never be used to do evil ever again.
On the business side of things. A platform that instantly came to my mind is the Nintendo switch. Switch 2 could be coming soon too.

Won a 9chal huntress run today with no Ring of Haste. Tried transmutating my rings like 3 times but never got lucky.
Rooted everything with Wand of Regrowth and just sniped them from behind the grass. Hourglass kept me mobile from big danger.
Got a Vampiric Quaterstaff +2 from early floors coupled with a Ring of Arcana so that got me trough the early game.
You can use rogue cloak, hourglass, chains or blast wand to get distance from skeletons so you can last hit them with a throwing weapon or a wand to avoid the bone explosion damage. With faith is my armor you really should avoid all of those bone explosions they hit too hard.
Midgame is often all about survival and in 9 challenge dying on boss floors with an ankh for full heal and fully replenishing your satiety with potions of cleansing might just give you the edge you need to survive.

I too have been working on the achievement. Only things left to log are 2 plants, 4 enchantments and the rotberry dart. I was struggling to find a phantom piranha but found one yesterday.
Seems like a pretty good spell for 9 challenge!

I recommend giving Horn of plenty some love if you find it as it makes On diet very easy.
You can for example combine snacking from horn of plenty with warrior iron stomach +2 to completely negate many of the strong attacks. For example Evil eye lasers, Yog Lasers and Tengu bombs.
Snacking from horn is crazy on Rogue too as you pretty much get infinite cloak charges with tier 2 perk mystical meal +2 that gives you 5 turn of artifact recharging.
On Mage you can use the horn with energizing meal +2 that gives you 8 turns of wand charge and just combine that with shield battery +2 for huge shielding.
You can bless ankhs even with Barren Land by throwing waterskin into a healing well and that fills it up to 20/20.
Ascending with the amulet grants you more score multiplier that makes the 1 million score much more easy to reach.
You probably had the million score run here by just doing On diet and by ascending. Ascending is quite easy if you just keep the amulet curse green by killing a few enemies every floor. Every boss floor while ascending also heals you to full health and people tend to forget that.


Got the war hammer from caves as a +1 with a blazing enchantment. Had it as a corrupting war hammer in dwarf king and later got lucky with the vampiric enchantment! Last SoU used on arcana ring for them juicy vampire heals. Ring of arcana was originally a ring of haste+2 that i transmutated.

Just picked up an enchantment stone 8 turns before death and instantly used it got vampiric on the greatsword... Anti-magic spinner surprises me and gets me poisoned. This was the RUN!!!


Died to deferred damage from fighting with last pair of fists. I still might have won by using one of my scrolls of retribution or scroll of psionic blast to kill Yog then go into amulet room->Magical sight potion->stone of blink and end the game before deferred damage finishes me off.

Horn of plenty, Rogue cloak and Round shield +9 combo almost did the job.
I made a few big mistakes that cost the run. Tried to use healing bomb for the first time ever in the game but it poisoned me twice and made me waste my full water flask. I could have had a blessed ankh on Yog that would have saved me from a big hit from Yog laser. Died to the second pair of Yog fists after killing the white one. Had plenty of resources left and a full water flask ready.
Forst elemental as a blazing champion so its immune to fire. !
