FCC Wants to Bolster Amateur Radio
  • Community radio is volunteer non-profit radio that is community run, so like college radio without the college. It's commercial free and the programming is generally done by the DJs, rather than corporate radio deciding what to play.

  • Apparently a cat rapper exists
  • Moshow! He's a beloved Portland figure. When the art museum had a paintings of cats exhibition they had him perform at the opening.

He has great merch, I've got one of his tshirts. Is he a great rapper? Nah. Is he the best cat rapper in the world? Without a doubt.

  • Websites stole and monetized a free browser game, so the designer replaced it with Goatse
  • I started reading the version posted, saw the original was on 404, clicked on that and shared the link with my wife, and as soon as I saw the link preview I IMMEDIATELY deleted it and said No! Don't read that one! It's not redacted enough!"

So in this case I absolutely agree, the PC Gamer version was the better one to share.

  • "Do you live in the Midwest?" by self-report
  • As someone born and raised in the Midwest (Ohio and Illinois) and is currently a resident on the West Coast (Oregon), the way I define it is as such: if there is corn, it's the Midwest. If there are cowboys on horses, it's the west or southwest. Does your state touch the Atlantic or Pacific? That's what coast you are on (Hawaii and Alaska excepted).

  • Phones should have FM radio again
  • I'd like to shout out community radio as well! Your town or city probably has one or you can stream them online. Local DJs playing whatever they want with no ads, just music. I volunteer for a couple and they're really fun to be a part of.

  • ಠ_ಠ
  • Whatever the joke is-- I saw this photo in the NYTimes but I don't get the joke of posting it here. Has it been altered or something?

I know I'm going to feel really stupid when I get my answer.

  • And get two birds stoned at once.
  • It's a "Thin Blue Line" sticker that people with extremely conservative politics use to "show their support" for cops (unless those cops are trying to protect the Capitol building). It's a sign that they are certainly racist jackasses.
