We had a similar thing few years ago in the Maashorst, south NL. Guy "accidentally" chopped a part of the forest which was protected but on his terrain (or something). Lame apology but no repercussions or any restoration projects. Everyone in town knows the asshole is just laughing at the municipality.

You can get a cooling mat, similar principle as stone etc, but weird softer pillow-y. Couple of our cats love it in summer, and you can simply flip them if they turn warm.

A suicide mission might not be as much of an issue if someone's entire life is in shambless due to economic collapse, no healthcare and God knows what else is cooking up over there in the US. Someone could leave a carrot on the white house doorstep and he might trip and snap his neck, who knows.
