In the roman or greece empire how easy was it to become an assassin or buy one? Did they just go to the nearest friend or relative and say hey kill this person and I will give you such and such money?

During the Escape from Alcatraz was it actually possible at the time to swim to shore? If not then why didn't they search for bodies to say they died? Or was it just a perfect storm of events?

Why do Neo Nazi's and those alike shave their head? When most SS had full heads of hairs but the jews in concentration camps were shaved?

Not disparaging the dead or anything. But why does it seem in the US we are expected to feel sorry for a person who overdoses on illegal drugs? Didn't they make the choice knowing the outcome?
  • Um no i don't. Seen kids born with cancer who died. Seen kids addicted to crack meth and all other drugs. But an semi educated person who deliberately uses hardcore drugs like heroin phentaynol or whatever. I really don't feel sorry for them. Because their first use knew what road it would lead them down. I just don't get the point of celebs getting all this sympathy and we are suppose to follow. But stationed in Chicago I am now seeing heroin OD's daily. What about them?

  • Nice write up....no sarcasm. I asked the question because it seems the world has sympathy for the Liam one direction guy. Even though there was coke alcohol and benzos in his system and syringes found in his hotel room. I just don't get it. Why don't we get upset for a person who is not famous? Personally and hope this doesn't get me banned but really do not give a shit about this guy or any others and I say that as a Nurse.

Was FDR's the new deal really that huge at the time? Or is it just the way history remembers it? Did people just hop on board and help? Or was it overblown by historians?

It seems that the MAGA movement is earily similar to what I learned about the Nazis before Hitler took office? Like blind obedience and hatred toward certain groups? Or am I wrong? Why?
