If the dictator was you, might that make dictatorship more attractive?
And you also stated that it is inherently democratic.
Would it kill you to stop being so coy and evasive?
It's a thousand dictatorships.
In a democracy the vote determines policy.
But this is obvious. Right?
Democracy means that power is held by the people. It doesn't mean that if you don't like it you can leave.
Ten-thousand Lemmy and Reddit moderators say otherwise.
How about for lemmy?
Why do you dance around like this instead of just answering the question?
Actually somebody else got their shit removed and I wax philosophical on their behalf. I'm sophisticated that way.
Everybody says democracy but given the opportunity to be dictator they will choose dictatorship every time.
Is that a realistic assessment?
Every moderator on lemmy, apparently.
How about for lemmy communities?
Do you, to any degree, lead the contemplative life?
Like 8fold? Meditation? Hermit? ....?
You're making a show about killing money men. Good luck convincing the money men to fund it. And that's how it works.

Hate and empathy do not enter into it.

A system of laws is not human. Tho built by humans. Much like a car or a toaster. And as such lacks the intelligence, depth and flexibility of a human. And is subject to gaming, breaking, and all the other problems of machines that interface with reality and humans.
That is my point.
Morpheus : The Matrix has you.
Neo : I'm sorry but I have all of these investment forms to fill out, can we talk about it later?
You should write children's books.
What's mindfulness?
(No links or quotes please.)
I mean samatha/vipassana or whatever.
I encounter things relevant to atheism sometimes when I meditate.
I know meditation isn't necessarily a christian thing. Maybe prayer.
I figure, buddist or christian, we're all studying the same reality. Whatever we call it or however we describe it. And in our process of investigation we will all do that same self-cultivating and deeper seeing.
I do shikantaza (zen meditation).
It's part of my mind, or body, or thereabouts.
It's why dreams (and supposedly the afterlife) invariably involve time, space, people etc.
Raw reality is made of vibes or poetry. A song without words. Then the translator adds the words.
EX : The protagonist in a story. The player's avatar in a game. An action figure. A shambling edifice of meat...
