  • Or in other words, capitalism

  • Nice!

She was a Zionist, so not worth voting for

  • Soulism @multiverse.soulism.net

How can I learn to fly?

  • Yeah, you're totally right!

Our president should kill more people

  • They aren't nearly as unsafe as people think they are and I think they are completely fine.

BUT it still doesn't make sense to build them, because renewables (especially solar) is so much cheaper, so we should focus all our energy on expanding that instead of nuclear.

  • In addition to this not really being a showerthought, this post is not really a shitpost either

  • Cause they don't care about winning. They just want to uphold the interest of capital.

  • standing up to Israel amid accusations that it was carrying out a genocide in Gaza.

Yeah, shure Guardian, these are just "accusations" from crazy leftists.

  • Yeah, what's up with that? I know, that Mozilla is hopelessly corrupt, but what about the Linux Foundation?

  • Isn't that kind of the definition of a revolution?

That those in charge won't allow it?

  • What I found much more interesting than the new subscription, was all their weird obsessive behaviours the author described, which seem to almost normalized in her mind.

Like memorizing all the followers of your ex and checking regularly if they have new ones, to see if they have a new relationship. Or checking, if your exes look at your stories.

I am very glad, I am not involved with social media (and most of my friends as well), because it seems to exadurate your worst impulses in a way, that I would have never thought could be normalized in our society.

  • Mainly the first part, especially the "You've made some excellent point highlighting... " just sounds very off to me.

  • It's fucking Linux, which still supports CPUs that are more than 20 years old. You don't need to rely on any company to provide you "support".

  • Nah, people were always spied on. The internet actually made it possible (if you know what you are doing) to communicate safely under authoritarian regimes or if you are under investigation by the government, even across borders.

That was not really feasible in the Soviet Union etc.

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

It is pretty cool how easy the internet and personal computers have made it to communicate with encryption

    A prideful rest

  • Is this in Karlsruhe during this years pride?

Because that would be a funny coincidence, I've been there to

  • I hope they cut off all access to US-AI to foreign countries, because that would mean, I don't have to fucking deal with it anymore.

  • Ey, it's fine to use Windows, no need to insult Linux people though.

You can do some really cool shit with Linux, when it comes to ricing etc. You don't have to like it, but it can be a really cool hobby.

  • I agree in principle, but sales taxes are a bad idea, because they are regressive. That means, because poor people spend a larger proportion if their income, their income is taxed (through sales taxes) at a higher rate than the income of more wealthy people.

What would actually be a better idea is to have a higher income tax for the higher tax brackets, but also tax wealth and inheritance much more, that would be things like stocks, real estate etc, which the wealthy use to borrow against to avoid taxes (because they don't pay taxes on the borrowed money).

  • Travel @lemmy.world

Do you think an Interrail trip through 8 countries in 21 days would be enjoyable?

Do you think an Interrail trip through 8 countries in 21 days would be enjoyable?

    PieFed Meta @piefed.social

We should rethink how the communitcation channels for piefed devs work
