  • I wished I’d experienced nuclear Gandhi when I played this back in the ’90s.

  • She could have voted for an amendment to kick puppies and then voted against the bill and thus ultimately voted against kicking puppies. You don’t seem to understand how bills and amendments work.

No u don’t seem to. If she knew a bill was ultimately going to pass, then why wouldn’t she vote against a puppy kicking amendment? At best she would have saved puppies from getting kicked, and at worst she would have demonstrated to the electorate that she’s against kicking puppies.

  • It doesn’t matter whether the amendment had a chance of passing nor what MTG’s motivations were in introducing it. AOC still voted against blocking military aid to Israel.

And the amendment didn’t say anything nutty or conspiratorial. It was a simple deletion: “An amendment numbered 114 printed in Part A of House Report 119-199 to strike funding for the Israeli Cooperative Programs.” However MTG spun it is immaterial.

  • I’m familiar with this person’s moderation behavior. They’re a Zionist.

  • Previously:

The bill removed “offensive” weapons, but left in “defensive” weapons. The distinction is meaningless; defensive weapon systems allow Israel to continue to prosecute it’s genocide without other countries (notably Iran) being able to act against them, so it still enables genocide.

    Agreed.

If she votes against the bill: AOC opposes cutting military aid to Israel!

If she votes for the bill: AOC voted to keep sending weapons to Israel!

No. There were two distinct votes at play here.

The first vote, for which she voted nay, was to amend the bill, removing the sending of weapons to Israel.
The last vote, for which she voted nay, was to pass the bill itself.

At issue here is the first vote only.

This yearly military budget bill always gets passed, without exception, which AOC knows. She knew that, in the end, the bill would get passed despite her nay vote. That being the case, why did she vote against removing military aid to Israel?

    Previously:

All she had to do was what Al Green (D), Marjorie Taylor Greene R), Summer Lee (D), Thomas Massie R), Ilhan Omar (D), and, Rashida Tlaib (D) did: Vote yes on the amendment and no on the bill.

  • Do you think the photo is fake, the police & AOC’s campaign manager are lying, or The Guardian is fake news?

  • I wonder what the logic was behind dual-licensing this under both a copyleft and non-copyleft license.

  • Tell that to the Russiagate conspiracy theorists.

  • This is wikipedia, so it’s probably a little biased. Biased in what way is something I don’t know enough to say.

On the whole Wikipedia is biased toward capitalism & Western imperialism/neocolonialism.
