Not arguing with the crux of your argument here, but most fast traveling I've done is way more direct than that. New planet, sure there's a few stages, but anywhere you've been before you can pretty much fast travel to directly from anywhere.

I'd just like to point out that, at least on Liftoff, searching for 'space porn' in communities still brought me here, best of both worlds.

Can confirm Hoplite is absolutely fantastic, been a near constant install since 2015, great way to kill 10 minutes.
