  • I've watched the Imitation game. Cool movie!

It wasn't my point or intention to delve deeper into this matter. The Pigpen Cypher has been enough for me and I use it casually for fun. I'm no professional at any rate to this topic and I don't look into studying encryption 🙂

Well, if that's the case and this stuff is too old, I'm happy to have provided one puzzle of this kind to that community and I can leave it at that 😄

  • Hmm. Cool.

Well. I didn't mean to make a difficult puzzle anyway - something to fill a minute I suppose! 😄

  • I don't have the faintest idea what a substitution cypher means 😂

Found this system in Reddit - been using it once in a while for fun!

  • Also repairing clothing with thread and a needle

  • A thing that has helped me maybe 90+% of the time (if I recall correctly, it's been a while from the last one):

    1. Empty your lungs
    2. Hold your breath as long as you can
    3. Breathe in and out very fast for a few seconds
  • It's one thing to feel appreciated when someone likes your comment, post, or generally the content you created, driving you forwards to continue making content for others to enjoy.

It's another thing to get kicks out of poor content that drives you to copy-paste more poor content.

But then again - what is poor? What is quality? Outside a well-thought argument in a comment, somebody might enjoy a s***post picture and giving it value as it made their day a bit better while somebody else doesn't.

  • The video makes it look like dogs would really dislike kids!

  • (I live in Finland) I was told that in America you cannot travel much by walking because 1) since it was built for cars, stuff is far away from stuff 2) police might stop and question you, give a lift, send home or even arrest you for walking

  • He could have found education closer to his girl?

  • I know that some body builds will stay bigger than others no matter how hard you exercise and burn fat. I believe that genes aren't the only reason for that.

  • True. I must say this is my first and only second-hand phone, so I'm very new on this stuff 😂

I was told about the update problems as well. In my case, I still receive updates on my Samsung.

I'd guess that putting some time on researching your options in second-hand phones reduces risks somewhat and adds to chances to end up with a decent find 😄

  • The former is another human being choosing to be with you and grow alongside you. The latter is an exercise in solipsism.

Well, some people that have an AI girl may be self-centred or selfish (solipsism?) but I doubt that's the thing on every user.

but I have a wife and fucking love having her, an ai girlfriend sounds sadder than loneliness

After your experiences with your wife I think it's obvious that you'd feel that way. I couldn't be romantic (well maybe for a while, until the real thing replaced her) with a screen AI all the way down cos I need the touchy and cos they don't feel as "human-like" yet.

You don't need to use an electronic device to communicate with her. You don't need knowledge of electronics or materials to keep her in a working state, you don't need to update her with devices (you may pay her doctor bills though). She doesn't agree (more or less) to everything you do or say. You also can touch her, and for now, you can bet that she's flesh, bones and has a consciousness. You can trust that she has her own opinions (at least some!).

But to some folks who have never experienced that, or who think that's too difficult to get/maintain or are too scared or insecure to try it out, might find peace with an AI companion. Even if you and I, or even they know it's fake, it could still be enough for them. And if you are a person who doesn't need touchy-touchy to thrive in a relationship, your chances to feel happiness grow even higher.

Of course you may gain problems by having an AI girlfriend (such as if you don't socialize with people as much, you'll get out of touch with them and your human social skills get weaker) but that is another topic of discussion.

I don't think it's right or wrong to have an AI companion, friend, partner, whatever. I don't think it's right or wrong to have a real person as a companion, friend, partner, whatever. They feel different, have different pros&cons, can both cause problems to life that can be even fatal...

  • Well, my 100-150€ phone has survived fine for over a year now.

When you consider the rule (I've heard) that a phone is supposedly old and should be updated to a new one after two years of purchase, I consider my phone being on a long run already!

  • Gotta check the battery info from a respectable seller.

Mine had a guarantee of 90% of the battery function...was it compared to a new, unused phone of itself (can't remember). I don't remember how good my previous phone's battery was in the beginning, or any before that, but this current phone had an awesome battery life! (I try to keep the battery between 20-80% to give the battery more life)

  • I have also gone greener in these past months (not phones only) and I also want to support greener choices!
