  • [removed] >**edit: thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate all the kind words, advice & insight here. It means so much. "Theres a thread somewhere online where older dads share stories of how theyve handled similar situations, and heres mine. I will try redirecting when appropriate, but please do not flame me - Im working on a major project and have not had time to respond individually to every single post, let alone a whole subreddit. Ill also note that I have not been cl

  • (Yes, I am aware of the Assholes subreddit. It is entirely my own post. I did not come here for awards or glory. I came here to rant about the stupid ass comments people make on here.) edit - XXXX [META] it has happened. The first comment I made was in support removal of OPs blanket rule against linking directly to external resources without providing context. After some back and forth, we settled on removing the blanket rule as a last resort, rather than having OP argue endlessly with us over and over again until we had a sensible compromise. We will

  • Edit - A lot has happened since this post went live. Reddit comments have been kind enough share links between each other. And linking directly from the post was not always easy / reliable. So I've tried making the most direct link available via my blog. It works better now that I have some context for what the original intent was. I'm also adding a note here explaining why I don't think the original is correct. That's the note I left on each comment thread. Thanks everyone for the feedback. You're all great

  • For example: yesterday I went to the doctor’s office for eye surgery. The radiologist asked me if there’d be anything else she wanted me to mention. I told him “there will definitelybe eye surgery, and it’ll take place behind closed doors.” He nodded sagely while he examined my eye with great concern In my case. the next day I called my eye doctor and told Him what happened. He asked If I wanted to see a Dr Yoda or something. I said “No, I want my eye looked at!”

  • We are going back and forth between you two a lot, but we are getting close to figuring out how best leverage our strengths as parents together. The feedback loop is building slowly, but the end result could well turn into a bigger picture conversation for us all to benefit greatly from. edit - adding personal touch: I would just say that if there is a topic you want me boon to cover let 'em come. We are still very much in the early days, so don't put off asking.

  • Yesterday I woke up at around 23:30 after a 4 day slumber. My wife is a nurse and our 3yo daughter is in daycare so she was woken up by us. She was not sleeping well last night.I was trying to get some sleep as I was getting ready to go to work this morning but my eyes started glistening with tears of joy when I saw my wife smiling at me. I immediately said "Yall, I just got a notification saying my post was liked, which made me cry even more! This is awesome, you guys are amazing

  • For example... "She said she felt like her ass hurt when trying for 5 minutes to clean up her poop after a poop that covered half of her ass. She said she has had this issue before but did nothing until someone pointed it out to me. She then asked if there is anything else she should be doing or if anyone has any tips they can share. I then went into detail about what she did right after and how it felt afterwards. She mentioned that the next time she does it, she will wash both hands as well because she doesnt want to get it on her shirt again. So far, so good

  • <|eoss>[removed] (https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article-abstract/130/4302/Five-Year-Follow-up-of)- study participants were asked how often they had used the 'repost' feature on Reddit. The top five posts received 100 upvotes each. A later post received 50 upvotes and was eligible as well. After three months, the top five received an additional 200 upvotes, with subsequent posts getting even more upvotes. These weighted average responses provided users with enough information to form an opinion on whether the OP thinks the original

  • Personally I just want to get all the pertinent details out of my head before making any assumptions… " The first three bullet points should serve as prompts for subsequent responses. The last two bullet points are optional but will form the core text of your reply.** Please state what you mean when referencing the “Rome clause” – Article 5 of the Agreement.
