Weekly “What are you playing” Thread || Week of December 3rd
  • Just finished Chants of Sennar. Decryption game with puzzles and light sneak bringing people of a babel like tower to speak to each other again :) I'm always in a weird indecision for what to play after I finish a game...

Thinking about subscribing to the pc gamepass to play Lies of P.

  • What are the best skills to invest in early in the game?
  • Consumables can be handy if you know a big persuasion is coming. I just check how many "points" it takes too convince the npc and don't take any unnecessary risks. I've done a quest line pretty early on that unlock me the manipulation skill early. It gives you an additionnal choice sometimes with safe-ish big points. There's also a skill to unlock the choice to bribe I think. didn't invest in it (i want money!) but it is still a possibility.

  • What are the best skills to invest in early in the game?
  • I think the persuasion skill is really useful through out the gameplay, espacially at the beginning. you can gain time and save ammo. Security and wealth were useful to have. A point in boost pack is fun too. I did not invest in exploring or crafting since I didn't engage much in them. Later, investing in pure DPS was profitable too (ballisitc/energy, pistol/rifle, etc). If ship building is your thing, piloting and ship design later on is also nice.

  • How about that Ryujin questline?
  • I first started one mission of stealth with the apparel they give us with the bonus stealth. NPCs were spotting me through grilled vent in the ceiling and they were VERY motivated to search for me for an eternity (I craved for a: "it must be the wind" line). I did it with 1 point in, it wasn't easy but less of a pain and NPCs could abandon the search with a nice "He got away". I still saved a bunch and repeat some sections for this one. I think the last mission or second to last I just given up and change status from detected to danger and undected again in repeat.

  • How about that Ryujin questline?
  • I did this questline fairly early in my first playthrough. I wanted money fast to pay my house so I figured, why not start in the greediest city! I struggled so much without any points in stealth doing those missions as they wanted. I ended up taking a break and doing something else for a while and I checked how many more missions there was (a lot...). Aside from that I had a ton of fun, good opportunity too level up my persuasion.

    I discovered this new hobby

Hey there! I did some little projects of 30-45min and my wrist felt a bit sore at the end. While I understand that me being new to thoses movements and may still be a bit crisp, I was wondering if there is some absolute don't hold your tool or yarn like that to avoid hurting myself. For now, I use my thumb to slide the yarn on my hook and both my hands (alternate) to hold my project. I see a lot of yarn around index and project holding between thumb and middle finger and it doesn't feel stable alenough for me. Should I try again or just de what feels comfortable (even if it's slower)?

What are some harmless ways to prank someone?
  • I made a "spray grenade" to my friend once. Attached a Ty-wrap to a bottle of Febreeze (trigger in) and throw it in his room while he was there. He was pretty quick to seek scissors and cut it but I can imagine it worse without his quick thinking and a worse scent.

  • How would you go in making a standardize size chart for women clothing?

We all know, women sizes differs between brands, models and countries. Men had the war to tha k for standardize sizing due to uniform requirement. Need a pair of pants? Hip size and leg lenght is all you need! For wonen though, it depends wich country, company, cut of pants. You'vegot hips sizing, waist size, various non descriptive leg lenght ( Regular, for short or tall legs), etc. I think it is just tedious to shop for clothing at this point. What's yourtakeon a solution to simplify all this spaguetti of size clothing?

I got a bounty for no reason on my head due to a bug

I really love the game. I was ready for a space Bethesda game. I am still satisfied but here is my experience of my first major bug: I did a cool diplomatic mission (on my best behavior there) on New Atlantis branching to another one. I entered a building not related to this mission to do another side quest. I exited this building and UC security was shooting to kill. Little small notification: a bounty of 15k on my head. Run to a boot near to pay it off. I can't. Run to my ship and I can't select another UC world and other big cities. After trial and error a landed in Akila to pay off the bounty ( now 66k) and be done with it. Reloading didn't change anything and my last save was an hour ago. I didn't want to risk and replay an hour of progress for nothing so I decided to pay.

Hope it will help other poor souls or open a discussion of various ways to deal with it.

I'll take a break for tonight.

I wish you all peace and stability Captains o7

Edit: Find a potential reason and an other solution on Reddit without paying the bounty. Slight spoiler title mission. But if you didn't do this mission you wouldn't know what it's about... Just a heads up! Fix
