You're not a "coffee person", you're most likely an addict
  • Who ever said anything about swimming? Are you just trying to deconstruct the points I made that you don't understand? I mean you clearly have some kind of disorder, disassociative at least. Enjoy being constantly lauded for your understanding of sciences (or lack thereof).

  • You're not a "coffee person", you're most likely an addict
  • Humans are literally entirely chemistry at all times. Literally anything that makes you happy/comfortable releases dopamine in your brain. Even dopamine can become addictive if applied too often, the 'withdrawal' would be feeling down cause you're not as happy as usual.

You can be happy or not happy with relationships, which can cause your (misguided) definition of addiction to dopamine, and almost no part of that scenario involves external chemicals.

And all of that is just one example. You really need to attend a high school chemistry and/or biology class.

  • Just tell them you were doing handyman/freelance stuff in-between 'official' employment.

'fixing/making XYZ things for friends/neighbors while looking for permanent employment'

You look good for not sitting on your ass during that time and get somewhat of a hand waive pad over that time. If they ask for records, tell them that because it was unofficial, under-the-table work, there's no good records. They're just trying to fill a position, they won't follow up on insignificant data or goose-chases.

  • Thanks for the confidence boost! I was coming to reply that I "was weak" for not replying like how greentext did, but your comment was at the top and revitalized me!

Practically the same situation except I was busy/moved on so I looked at the text and just put my phone back in my pocket.

    Fuck that bitch. 👍

  • Florida Cop Empties His Gun, Runs For Cover After Acorn Falls On Car and Mistakes It For Shots Fired
  • Likely to protect the cop/department too, since he shot at his own car that already had a disarmed, detained suspect inside. He very nearly killed someone that was already a non-threat. If the body cam footage got out it might make people think their cops are negligent or improperly trained! /ghasp

  • Father of American teen killed in West Bank by Israeli fire rails against US support for Israel
  • Not to dismiss the seriousness of the story, but the term, "rails against," is as annoying as headlines that use "X slams Y." It means nothing and is only there for the eye catch and click bait.

I know the point is to get peoples attention, but stuff like that only makes me roll my eyes and assume an idiot was in charge of the article.

  • Gen Z is prioritizing living over working because they've seen 'the legacy of broken promises' in corporate America, a future-of-work expert says
  • "I just can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to work!" --my grandma, who's been supported by my grandpa's money for as long as I can remember.

Yeah, the people who were brainwashed into thinking that 'working just to work is great,' are undeniably unconcerned with the rest of us, and far too many people think that way.

While it's true that I would want to do something productive with my downtime, and not be wasting it on video games or whatever, I definitely don't want to do it for some CEO or other higher power who cares as much about me, as I do about the ants in my yard.

  • Ah makes sense, I never played the NG games, but when I would talk to my friend about the OG DMC games, he would tell me about NG, so I had assumed it was more like DMC (in the sense that getting hit twice wouldn't kill you unless it was a boss).
