Could the 2020s be the decade of decentralized social media?

  • They've been doing this for a long time now. Thanks for the info my friend I will make sure to spread that page around and make sure everyone knows about this dirty tactic that big corpos use to kill competition.

  • Manga @lemmy.ml

You guys need to know of Louis Remme's race against a steamship to withdraw his money from a bank!

  • Thanks for the kind words stranger, your story rings so many bells to me too, I basically cried internally once I knew it was all over and then to my family, I am thankful that I have a lot of support at home so I was able to process it in peace.

I have been placing a lot of pressure on myself for this but it's in the past all I can do is learn from it and do better which is what I am planning to do.

I hope you find a lot of success in your life my friend! Thank you for your words.

  • Yes but not everyone lives in a flatland like the dutch do, I believe I could fully transition to a bicycle if cars weren't the top priority on my city, but I know many friends that live in parts of the city that are basically mountains.

  • Thanks my friend, not gonna lie I actually cried, I thought I had it I studied hard for the final exam but it still wasn't enough. Whatever it is I enter next I'll make sure to change my studying habits.

  • I was a kid in the 2000's so for me the oldies were playing the flash games on cartoon network, miniclip and armor games. My first real exposure to social media was YouTube 2006-2008 somewhere around there watching Smosh and whatever crap was there back in the day.

  • I want to know what do you guys think of national/local subreddits? I found it pretty interesting to see the different national subs on Reddit like the German one or the swedish one or the french one, I found that my own nation's sub would sometimes give me information about something before it hit the local news.

  • I just flunked out of what I thought was going to be my career (physics) I'm not sure if this is the correct term but I failed at my bachelor's? I'm thinking of doing an engineering degree instead.

  • I was introduced to Reddit thanks to CGPgrey and have been using it since high school, It's definitely sad to see it dying but I'll just treat it as the end of yet another phase of the internet. Such is the will of the sands of time.
