  • Personally I think it would be of great benefit if Enterprise vendors just stopped doing that extremely long term support. It just enables the people who want to pretend they can stop the world around them and those people are bad for everyone, especially in a security context but also because they pretend that “stability” is achieved by using old versions.

This is how I know you need to learn more about the Enterprise, about long-term support, and stability. Everything you wrote sounds like "Smoke detectors and seat belts are for chumps"

  • You .. do understand his birthday was moved, right? And his metaphoric 'death' was really excommunication from the cult he formed and then tried to quash, and then rejoined to fix it from within? OK. Carry on.

  • Mandatory voting - how? Currently voting is handled state by state, you want to make the federal government take that over? What would the punishment be for not voting? Frankly I disagree with this

Tax credit for voting. Make it count like a $50 charitable donation would.

If you're thinking, now, "but then poor people would always vote and rich people would be off sailing their yacht", I completely agree.

  • I suspect your sarcasm didn't land.

You make a good point, though, that the process is already long, and that with enough money it seems it can dragged out even longer.

But the alternative, if we rushed through the prices and gave the conservatives the ability to do so every time in return, would be horrific.

That's what I got from your post and, if I read it right, I think it was spot-on. I'd let 100 Trumps free than let them kangaroo-convict everyone else forever.
