I think the answer lies in the Hunter Biden charges. They can ask the question when purchasing a firearm and then charge with a crime later if they can show that the person lied.

I mean, yes, Hollywood writing for ongoing series is often repetitive. You literally have a "procedural" genre where they go through the same basic structure with almost every episode. Some sitcoms are quite bad. Some are pretty funny (and don't involve laugh tracks). There's a pretty big difference between your average multi-camera sitcom and single camera sitcom. But at the end of the day there's just good shows and bad shows and those don't always correlate with popularity.

Compared to wild animals that are in pain and hunger most of the time? Nature doesn't optimize for happiness. Unhappy creatures are more likely to seek out the things they need to survive and propogate.

Still, I understand the line of thought. My cat sometimes acts very upset when I'm not giving him enough attention or when I make him get off my lap when he's comfy. I think this is probably just learned behavior (he acts emotionally manipulative because it triggers a reaction from me), but sometimes I worry that because his realm of experience is so limited, that minor inconveniences are literally the worst things he experiences and therefore seem quite terrible to him. I don't really know which is true.

The filler was awful but even skipping it, the plot was still not great. It seemed like it just got plot cancer at some point and never recovered. Too many uchihas at the center of everything. Lots of characters that got completely forgotten about. Super OP stuff just being pulled out of people's butts on demand. I was anime only and hear the manga was better, but the only thing that pushed me to finish that show was sunk cost fallacy.

Nest parasitism is not unique to cuckoos and you can't really put a value judgement on evolution. Brown-headed cowbirds are the most common nest parasites in North America. There's lots of species where the parents kill their own children if they either think they aren't strong enough to survive or if the food supply is too insecure to care for them. It's just nature.

The hospital a nurse friend of mine was working at started treating nurses like servers at a restaurant: if it "wasn't busy" they'd cancel their shift last minute or cut them and tell them to go home. And of course they also have on call shifts. Impossible for someone to make a living wage like that if you never know how many hours you'll get, and yet they also claim so much time commitment that you'll be unable to work second jobs. Profit-driven healthcare is never going to provide best quality of care. It's pure greed.
