You could probably get a decent laugh out of the way from the fact that this book was published by the Oxford Press back in the day. That business was closed in 2000 and still operates with the name. It was owned and operated for almost 30 years by a handful of people - mostly guys with a garage with a full auto shop and a small shop on it. I've been listening to metal all my life. It sounds dark and complex, but I've never thought "oh I'm a metalhead" or "this metal shit is pretty cool." I like metal more as a product of listening to it. I don't think metal is inherently cool. I've just never gotten into it.

Yes, we use the phrase "forget the kitchen sink" for most things. But if I get into the middle of a recipe and want to write my own comment about it later, it's a good idea to write "forget the kitchen sink" first, and then make a follow up comment that mentions the time in which the recipe is best served.

I’m going to add that the term "padded", as it's applied to the pads, refers to the shape of the pads. Pads that are shaped like a condom, are made out of a material similar to a hardie, that acts like an extra layer of protection over the material inside.
