The first time I went to Spain I learned that they used a different set of playing cards
  • Not sure if it is the same as Mexico, but the “oros bastos” set doesn’t have cards 8,9,10 but jump from 7 to sota (fancy lad or something like that), caballo (horse) and Rey (king).

This is similar to the set I was used to: https://www.casino.es/imagenes/juegos/mus/baraja-espanola.jpg

Because of that we use different sets for different games.

Edit: the aces always had very cool designs, with the gold ace having the card brand on display.

  • Ironing
  • I feel like a lot of people from different countries would fit that description after the fact since technology was more expensive and it took us longer to be able to afford the new and trendy items.

  • iOS 18 now allows users to selectively share specific contacts with apps, rather than granting full or no access to all contacts as in previous versions
  • I don’t recall of it was android or the Apple jailbroken store, but they had plugins to replace your contacts and other personal data with dummy entries for apps unless you white listed them. Seems like such an obvious solution. At least they are catching up a decade later.
