Players are now less "accepting" that games will be fixed, say Paradox, after "underestimating" the reaction to Cities: Skylines 2's performance woes
  • When I spoke to him separately, Fåhraeus admitted that Paradox knew that Cities: Skyline 2's performance needed improvement before launch - they just miscalculated how much players would care.

The last time I played Cities Skylines 2 was in June 24th the day of their "performance" patch and it was STILL unplayable on my computer. My FPS was fluctuating between 20-40 on a completely empty map, all low graphics on 720p, and so I just closed the game instead of trying to play it. My computer isn't amazing, but it isn't bad either, I play Elden Ring 60fps, Bladurs Gate 60fps, Overwatch 200+fps, just to name a few.

As far as I can tell from the patch notes there has been no performance updates since then. If nobody can play the game, nobody is going to play the game. 20fps is not an issue you can just ignore and hope players ignore it too, what a hilariously out of touch statement.

  • Private battles
  • I think it’s dark souls cause the woman on the left looks like the emerald herald

  • MSI's AI-powered gaming monitor helps you cheat at 'League of Legends,' looks great doing it
  • SBMM will never be able to stop cheaters, just look at The Finals (game with basically zero anti-cheat) competitive modes right now, completely ruined by cheaters. There are some cheaters in almost every rank of most multiplayer games. Wether it be low rank smurfs or top 100 players, there’s going to be at least one cheater somewhere in your rank, but most likely multiple. I have a combined total of 14,000 hours in counter-strike, I’ve played at every MM skill level from silver elite to global elite and have run into cheaters at least once in all of the ranks.

  • What’s the tiniest thing about iOS / iPadOS / macOS that really bugs you?
  • That’s not what I said, what I said was I have never encountered somebody like that. Therefore rabid Apple fans are not nearly as common as everyone on the internet says it is. The internet acts like they can’t go a day without somebody shoving an iPhone in their face trying to get them to convert. I have only had people try to convert me to Android, which I tried for three straight years. Not once in those three years did an iPhone user tell me I should switch to iPhones. Nobody above 12 years old cares irl, it’s just a cell phone. They all do the same thing…

  • What’s the tiniest thing about iOS / iPadOS / macOS that really bugs you?
  • Have been alive 30 years and yet to see even one of these cult-like rabid apple fanboys Android people online talk about. In fact, almost any time anyone has ever mentioned their phone to me is because they had an Android. Pretty sure you’re misconception is based on the day 1 lines people would form for Apple products but that’s because they were new and exciting technology. Everyone wanted the iPhone 4, now every phone is just a faster iPhone 4 with more camera.

  • Dark Urge romance question
  • This is an interesting question, in my 600 hours the only characters I’ve seen have romance starting dialogue outside of the Act 1 party is Lae’zel and Shadowheart. Lae’zel got an exclamation bubble above her head after I fought the owlbear, where she basically says what she says at the party but potentially sooner than the party (this didn’t trigger the sex scene till the night of the party even though she asked way before). And Shadowheart gets a dialogue that says something like “I feel we missed a chance to connect” but I’ve only seen that dialogue actually appear a handful of times, I imagine if you kill Minthara you won’t be in a relationship and thus the dialogue should trigger for you, though I might’ve actually been in the shadowlands actually when I got it, I don’t recall exactly. Wyll will try to seduce you with a dance in Act 2 which I believe starts his romance. But I’ve never been able to start a romance with Karlach, Gale, Lae’zel, & Astarion post Act 1 if I didn’t ask during the party.

  • Question about party recruitment (act 1 and 2 spoiler)
  • Minthara’s recruitment only relies on the fate of the Grove and if she’s alive of course. You can take either direction, or even do both, which is what I usually do for extra XP.

  • Ideas for a single class party?
  • This may not be the most optimal but I think a party of rangers, each with their own color dye would be fun. This way you could be the “power rangers”

  • My reaction varies quite a bit.
  • I actually got surprised myself on another playthrough just yesterday where I was doing pure evil, but she decided to spare the nightsong anyway, which didn’t happen last time I did an evil playthrough. Maybe it’s random in some way, or maybe there’s a dialogue you need to have during some point that I missed this playthrough. I do know if you destroy the grove she becomes clearly upset about it during the party in camp, but I neglected to speak to Shadowheart almost entirely this playthrough so it’s possible I missed some dialogue trigger. I’m not sure myself now

  • My reaction varies quite a bit.
  • Fun fact about the companion quests, what descisions you make as the player will change what your companions do if you let them make their own descisions. For example, if you side with the goblins and destroy the grove then Shadowheart will actually not reject Shar if you let her make her own decision.
