I'm scared to ask for context. I know who they are, but....
Can always rent an electric 3/4" snake from a box store for under $50 I think. Make sure you're close to the feed point or you'll be wrestling with sewage-soaked coil. I'd go from the floor drain that is backing up if you don't have a toilet you can pull right next to it. Goal is to feed it to the sewer main. Scoping is the right answer, but a powered snake rental and an hour of dirty work has a chance of giving you some breathing room.
Cheapest way to deal with The Homeless is to give them homes. We're wasting money on cruelty
I'm for UBI at the federal level, but everything I've read/heard about the details of 118, including from my tax lawyer sister, is that it's terribly written and would be bad policy as a result. We've had some wacky referendums in Oregon over the years, a lot of naive good intentions. I'll probably have to dust off my reading glasses for the text of 118, because if we try UBI and it fails, it'll be a warning example to discourage everyone else - the same way that the decriminalization-without-recovery-support was
My combo is today. How we're your side effects from the vaccine? I've mostly been fine with them but last combo knocked me out
All the people pointing out that Biden doesn't have the power to pass laws, only support or veto, are correct. One other aspect is that Biden is sort of a grudging supporter of abortion rights due to his traditional Catholic upbringing. One imagines Harris would be a more enthusiastic advocate
I always thought AR was a real use case for technicians, travellers, even specialty games. Hope it becomes a real thing, not just a gimmick
"cautious optimism!" I expect theft in GA and MI, WI, MN to hold blue; but PA has me worried
Feels pretty bad. I'm all for work from home and all, but financial centers enable cultural centers and Portland seems to be losing big players. I just can't shake the feeling that we'll have to figure out a new way of being a city
That describes my family. We've done Airbnb and VRBO, but now pretty much stick to hotels. You know what you're getting, price is competitive, to bdint have to wash your own bedding, and a lot of hotel workers are unionized. That's all in addition to the awareness that every Airbnb house could be a home for someone who needs it. I won't be sad if the Airbnb model folds and helps the housing market regain a bit of sanity
I dunno - the timing was right after the RNC and Vance being locked in. Vance didn't broaden the ticket appeal because they thought Trump had the election in the bag. The timing might not have been strategic but it worked out pretty damn well!
I saw Ginny 's announcement video earlier. I'm a pretty frugal DM, but this seems like a good buy just to have in pocket in case players make some big in-game swings that I wasn't expecting. Not sure I'll preorder but I'll definitely check out more information as it comes out
Throwing interested people into simple encounters is 100% the best way to explain what DnD is; you can see it clicking in his imagination!
Ankylosaurus! Tail club, armor plates, what's not to love?
We use a lot of this stuff in our research lab, and have pretty strict chemical hygiene protocols for it. EU is restricting NMP too, so we're keeping an eye on regulations. It's definitely hard to replace as it's a great solvent, but I agree with the EPA that it shouldn't be in consumer goods
In memo veritas?
Good thing we didn't "defund the police" so taxpayers can keep paying police to violate their rights. This will continue and worsen until there is some incentive in place for police to follow the law
Could be Mossad, too! Or wind, I guess; Helicopters are death traps
I generally try not to bring it up, but I know folks that've resumed eating meat and we're welcomed back with high-fives. This argues against the "preachy" argument in this thread. And people don't get criticized the same way over eating unnutritious fast food all the time. My view is that some people feel criticized by other folks' different life choices. When Alice to be in an out group, Betty is confronted with their own life choices.
I remember them giving a heads-up when the next season's trailer drops (usually a couple weeks after season finale) but I haven't heard anything yet
