Installing LOS 20 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite that's Knox Locked
  • I've installed it myself now and your post helped a bunch! Loving it so far, it's much faster and I haven't really had trouble with any google apps so far as I just install an alternative. It's actually really easy to find APK files online these days as well :)

  • Installing LOS 20 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite that's Knox Locked
  • Thanks for posting! I have a Samsung S6 lite and it is so slow to boot up or do anything and there is so much bloat it's unreal, battery lasts for like a day in standby. Think I'll give this a shot, seems a lot nicer :)

  • Unable to login as of June 23

I have not been able to login to my Lemmy account on the sh.itjust.works instance as of this afternoon.

I keep crashing and getting the error:

    java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "Active"

Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it just a problem with the new Lemmy update?

    Samsung Galaxy Earbuds SM-R170

Bought these earbuds originally in 2019 and I have not been disappointed.

I have tried several other types and brands but none of them come close to the sound quality or durability of these bad boys!

The noise cancellation is also fantastic on them as well as the battery life.

They're a bit hard to track down now as Samsung have stopped selling them and only sell the newer versions, unfortunately.

Be aware that some of the newer versions do not fit airtight in the ears, which means no noise cancellation.

I've also recently tried Google Buds and the difference between the audio quality is night and day. Where the Google Buds are tinny with no noise cancellation, the Samsung Buds are deep and rich, with fantastic noise cancellation.

    Overall, highly recommended!

    Tiktok alternatives on Fediverse?

I'm just wondering if there is some sort of alternative to Tiktok on the Fediverse?

I understand that something like Tiktok needs a critical mass of users, but just curious if someone has attempted it?

    No push notifications?

Is there going to be an option for push notifications on the future?

I don't care about push notifications on most social media, but it's nice to see when I get replies and DMs on here.

People who don't charge their phone at night... Why?

My wife's phone dies every. single. day. and I don't know why she doesn't just charge it at night.

I'm just wondering how people live like this 😅

Very interesting take on a language made of only whistles.

    Let's Talk About Singular They.

Very interesting history of the singular 'they'.

    Pronation correcting shoes?

What are people's thoughts on shoes made to fix pronation? I used to have a pair of new balances that were supposed to help with pronation, but now that I have a new pair of shoes, my pronation has gotten worse again.

Does pronation really matter in running or is it just one of those things that they use to sell more expensive shoes?

Just to vent - nowhere to run
  • I feel for you, I used to live in a very mountainous and beautiful area but now I'm in an area with nothing much to look at while running and I have found it's really made running feel more like a chore again :/

    Favourite part of the game?

Hi everybody! I've dabbled with OSRS a few times in the past and I've recently started playing again, and I'm really enjoying it!

I've started doing quests for the first time and I have to say I find them to be really fun and interesting.

In wondering what everybody's favourite parts of the game are. Do people enjoy the endgame? Skilling? Combat? PvE?

Want to know what I have to look forward to!

Trying to get into reading, need suggestions
  • The name of the wind is absolutely one of the best fantasy books ever written, the only thing is that the author is not likely to finish the series anytime soon. The second book in the triology came out in 2011 and still has no date for the third to be released :/

  • Will we see mass adoption of Apple Vision?
  • I think if anybody can get VR to be adopted by the masses it would be Apple. However, at this price I just don't think it's possible for the majority of people, even Apple Fanboys, to be able to afford.

If they had released this for $1500 I think that price point would be a lot more enticing for people, especially those who haven't tried VR before.

  • Will we see mass adoption of Apple Vision?
  • That's interesting and I never really thought about that before. I guess the only problem would be displaying the VR and AR elements so that they remain stationary relative to the person driving the car.

  • Reddit experimenting with blocking mobile browsers
  • It's unbelievable how's user hostile all of these major site have become. I deleted my 11 year old Reddit account today and while it hurt a little it's important that we send a message and not use Reddit at least until they repeal this bullshit.
