Give me Reasons Why I Should Get the Gulikit KingKong 2 over the 8bitdo Ultimate
  • From my experience, the 8bitdo Ultimate has been great. (KingKong 2 was not available when I purchased it)

I have it connected with the dongle to my PC (or Steam Deck depending) and when I want to play on PC I switch the button on the back to use the dongle. And when I want to play on the Switch, I change the toggle on the back again, and it stays paired to the Switch.

I don’t know enough about how KK2 pairs. Maybe it can do this too, not sure. I like that the charging stand allows you to keep the dongle in there and it connects to the pc through the charger.

And also, previous 8bitdo controllers have lasted me a long time.

Let us know what makes you pick one over the other. And happy gaming.

  • [Discussion] What are your definitive (or alternative) accessories, controllers, etc for the Steam Deck?
  • Nice! That’s good to know.

I have the 8bitdo ultimate one with the Hall effect joysticks. The KK2 was not available when I bought it.

The 8bitdo works well, except that the screenshot button doesn’t work on steam while using the dongle (but it works when paired as a switch controller, lol). Maybe I should check firmware again to see if they changed that. It seems the controller presents itself as an Xbox controller (the version without the share button)

  • Over here, I'm getting the Cox... last bill was $99 a month, now my "promo period" expired, and it is the full $170 a month thanks to "unlimited". It's pretty gross, but it is the only plan that gives the "amazing" 30 mbps up. :|

EDIT: This is for home internet, 1000 down/30 up, unlimited data

  • Thank you, I'll have to check them out. And yes, that's what I worry of, there is a specific reason I chose a provider, and having another one chosen for me, when we don't even know what level of UI/service/features they will provide is pretty annoying.
