Self-checkout theft causing problems for retailers — and shoppers who despise receipt checks
  • You don't legally have to stop and show your receipt (except Costco). I have a friend that pont blank tells them "nah" every time. Catch is, security can legally detain you if they really suspect something.
    For me it's not worth the hassle and I just show them with an annoying look.

  • 3rd party app for Reddit, Boost, is still functioning well after July 1st
  • The app still works for me. But I've been hearing Reddit has shut down the old mod API token, but not the regular token yet. So that might explain a little. However, RedReader was granted accessibility exemption so who knows what's going on.

  • My guess, a month or two delay doesn't fit into their timeline. It shows with the rush to API change, and the "convenient" July 1 (3rd quarter) start date. They're going all out to prove Fidelity's valuation downgrade wrong, and show a full quarter of Reddit's revenue potential.
