I took an almost 50% pay cut leaving a job once. I received training, skills and equipment and I use those to support things I am aligned with. Now I work a job that doesn't pay as well and isn't quite so reprehensible, then on the side I assist in-need charities and groups.

I assume FOSS dudes taking Microsoft money can at least steer the ship to try to funnel more effort to those programs or at least use the insider knowledge to improve the code base overall.

Federal Jobs are (previously) stable and offer good benefits. Pay is lower but you get guaranteed days off and clear expectations for work.

I have never seen the Arabic language translation of this meme but I immediately understood it from having seen the English version.

I always say "I love driving which is why I hate driving anywhere." I would love to have a fleet of vehicles I could really drive but laws, traffic, maintenance, etc. Driving isn't fun in the same way other things are because you need a lot of space or a lot of money to enjoy it. I'd argue that is a totally valid way of playing - half the game is designing homes after all. A quarter is doing the life sim thing and the other quarter is removing ladders from pools.

I've picked up kitty litter on my bike before - I strapped it down much the same as here but the weight distribution was hilariously off. So much weight over the back wheel I could've done a wheelie just thinking about it but the weight was so high I would've flipped faster than a thing that flips really well.

Wish I could do more grocery runs on my bike though.

Look, the test is really bad about detecting weight issues so if you score high enough on the annual fitness test, you don't have to take it. So that leaves all the soldiers with much more muscle out of the outliers. Meaning the soldiers who are overweight and don't have high enough scores can waste the rest of the afternoon getting tape tested.

The Army tests Height and Weight every year. Those rucks will take an inch or two off you as your vertebrae get crushed.

But, yeah, army already does annual height and weight.

Yakuza 0 is with it but then you have to play Yakuza 1-6 and then you put the games down and get gifted Yakuza 7 so now you have to beat 4 through 6 and they just announced Kiwami 3 so you'll probably want to compare that to 3 remastered and next thing you know you've bought Yakuza Dead Souls and you're questioning your life.

Like, I'm sure Spider-Man is good but it's still $60 and 'only' on a 50% sale? You can get it for $15 at GameStop.
