What's your process? Store or home development?
  • I've been doing it all from home. I don't do darkroom prints though. Scanning works enough for me at the moment. I've done darkroom in the past but probably won't resume until I move from my current small apartment. I do mostly b/w but currently have some shot color rolls to knock out. I've got everything to also do color at home but a new small local shop opened few years back and I've been meaning to support them so I'll occasionally buy film through them but also curious with their development. I'll always do my own b/w but color scans from someone else are handy as I have a color deficiency and my color scans always come out a little shifted.

  • What DAW is everyone here using and why?
  • Pro Tools for most stuff but I built an IEM rig mainly for practice that uses Reaper. It was my first time getting into Reaper and I'm really enjoying it. Things are in slightly different places but it makes sense so I've got few complaints.

  • Basic knots for sailors!
  • Love when I get to use the trucker hitch. Was camping last weekend and used it for various things. Even when it was probably unnecessary. Day to day operations I'm mostly using the less flashy bowline and square the most.

It's cool once you can tie [remember] all these knots. You start to look for excuses to use them.

  • Reddit risks losing its identity in pursuit of profits
  • I've contributed and made more replies on here than I ever did on reddit in a decade. Feels a bit more genuine and accessible. Also trying to close the door on insta, my only other social. Tired of that shit.
