  • lol came here to write this. No-brainer, really, you could have all the butterness in the world easily by being naughty!

  • I'd recommend dissolving the salts in water before it is added to mixture, otherwise it may not dissolve completely over mashing time and might be not homogeneously distributed.

  • We should be using different words to separate the abstract empire from other manifestations of state, see, we are confusing each other. But the state is just a bunch of people. A bunch that another larger bunch of people just tolerates. Many, many people who do the oppression. Share your data with suckerberg? You just helped him. Buy cheap chinese electronics? Support genocide sweatshop and global capital network. Drink a coffee? Sure your neighbor grew it and got a fair price on it, right?

The only way capitalism managed to pull itself out is through bribing the people. Sure, forcing us to do slave work was involved too, but let's not deny that this scheme has layers and fooled benefitiaries stacked on top of each other, nobody enjoying a fraction of joy and life that being free and real brings. Taking out the head inevitably involves getting through these layers, making them collaborate with all the sane people. You wouldn't need a raptor if an army regiment who has them did their stated job of defending people by targeting somebody harmful instead of killing innocents half globe away.

I can make a tool on par with a raptor, so can many engineers at lm and raytheon and boeing and roskosmos, there are doctors who treat putin, cooks for kim choke whatever, whores for trump. We are all people with powers and choices. And I wouldn't say we should kill ourselves overturning the system, no, if I'd think so, I'd be dead long time ago, in a large pool of dead bodies. But we can at least stop collaborating with it, and I'm quite certain that should be enough. Best time for that was 400 years ago or so, next best is now.

After all, capitalism IS a natural order, by the fact that we do empirically observe it as dominating phenomenon in nature. Which does not mean we can't change that, humans are really good at things like that. The question is - who will do the work towards this change, and I haven't seen anyone who wasn't a punk actually doing meaningful work ever. Maybe not all at once, but building the society one community at a time is great rate if done by many people around the globe. It's just that focusing efforts on resisting USA easily turns into supporting your local oppressor instead of building the right thing. I've seen it myself, even with my family. I've seen people in US ignoring the things you write too, and that was terrible, but this colonial stance and focus on US local problems is not cool at all. The whole system is corrupt and there is no single state that supports it alone, there is an abstract empire, but it's wider and deeper than whatever just usa could mean.

  • Someone might need a dog

  • Lol, so that silly self-destructive president might be actually doing something good by taking that nonsense economy down?

Although I doubt it's national thing, there are filthy rich assholes who would rather kill us all than let a tiny bit of equality to happen. Most of them are "in the USA", sure, although I suspect they actually spend more time in other places where child molesting is simpler. We are all responsible for it only as much as we let those people keep exploiting us all. USA is only responsible as the largest power oppression mechanism in hands of "free market capitalists" oxymoron; if it goes away, then some other state would be the biggest and strongest and naturally take its place.

  • Certbot complained about invalid files structure... after 18 successful updates over the years. Seriously, those guys should put a bit more care into updating stuff. Of course, the fix was trivial.

  • Did this, regret nothing.

  • On the contrary, many ladies sacrifice their right to reproduce for the common good. Males are welcome in any beehive, no matter what their origin is. Sick bees let themselves out voluntarily, but the queen is too important for the community so that she submits her fate to the communal decision. I've done queen transplantations and saw bees kick and bite their queen to death if she is too injured with my own eyes.

You should remember, that worker bees are totally able to lay eggs, those are not fertilized so could only breed males though, but it's totally valid way to spread their genetics. They just choose not to (and prevent peers from doing this). And the queen is grown from a regular bee by feeding it differently, you can literally make bees do that by placing the egg in correct position or just removing the queen and other larvae that are being grown into queens if present.

  • Link for degrowth Finland on this page links to some porn/prostitute website, I wanted to connect, but not like that!

  • I think it's Anubis full of AI crawlers

  • Are they available outside of corporate marketplaces themselves? Like, f-droid doesn't have them, not a good sign for countercapitalist stuff.

  • The 0x0Cth, of course!

  • Why just 8, not 10? They must be hiding someone, hmm...

  • Make melomels!

  • There are ways to automate without all that overhead. We can start over, with wooden cog logic and solar light free space transmission lines, living media power converters and recycled metal tools, and build sustainable machines we couldn't imagine today.

Sure things will break, so the srtisan would have to stay close to the creation. There is no easy scaleup without oppression now - but I am sure more self-sustainable technologies are possible if we start caring.

Besides, there is matter of research. I think making small amounts of insustainable materials to discover more laws of nature and empower us to achive more harmony are ok, as long as we do it ourselves and not outsource to slave work half world away.

  • If you find something good, let me know! I live in Finland and do IT jobs, and there is no decent aggregator that has good ones.

Try specific companies - Wolt, IQM, ICEYE, etc.

  • That's weird design and comparison; to get similar performance from a tool without electricity, you'd need some heat transfer mechanism between solar collector unit and consumer - steam? sand? just heat sufficient thermal mass and then load it with things to be cooked? I just hate the idea to waste efficiency by transferring energy through electricity here, while all heat losses could have been turned to profits instead. Electricity-centered approach of modern solarpunk pushes just a bit too far, too high tech in places where more traditional approaches could have been used.

Well, I must say that if you already have a solar electrical power system, it would be quite convenient to just hook up the oven there. Then on the other hand any conventional oven could probably do this same trick.

These are things that just came to my mind after reading this; I'm probably going to think about these more and try them next summer. This article is inspiring indeed!
