Trump says he wants foreign nationals who graduate from US colleges to ‘automatically’ receive green cards
  • I really can't stand him but that is a good idea. Doubt its his tho.

AAaand then it's not a good idea:

    From the article:

graduates would be screened “to exclude all communists, radical Islamists, Hamas supporters, America haters and public >charges.”

“He believes, only after such vetting has taken place, we ought to keep the most skilled graduates who can make significant >contributions to America. This would only apply to the most thoroughly vetted college graduates who would never undercut >American wages or workers,” Leavitt said in a statement to CNN.

  • I kinda see the point of removing it globally.. It's a video that shows a stabbing. Why would you want that to circulate?

  • How is a stabbing video anything about freedom of speech? I often support Electronic Frontier Foundation but this makes no sense.

  • I've got a buddy that had a similar issue with Origin (now EA Desktop)... He can't access his games anymore because he used an email that is no longer operated and he has not longer access to it.. So he is basically fucked because EA won't do shit for him.

  • Any LinkedIn alternatives?
  • This is kinda standard practice for many of the tech companies.. I've had to provide such information to Google, I think I declined last time but it was some rights for Youtube that time, it's also something that Facebook do ask some users if they think you're not using your real name..

I totally get your sentiment about this.

  • This is all about etics, and I'm pretty sure that no, they are not allowed to do so. It's highly unethical to give drugs and treat a family member as you won't be objective. The family member should seek help from another physician.

    Gesture to edit comment

One of the things I do quite frequently is edit my own comments but there is no way to add edit as a gesture. Would be amazing if this would be implemented at some point.

I really love this app. And I love the thing you've done for moderation. This is one of the main reasons why I use Lemmy so much. This app is just so great 🥰

What is your favorite horror so far this year?

For me the best horror I've seen this year is between Evil Dead Rise and Saw X and I think I've got to go with Evil Dead Rise as it almost made me faint! It was such an intense movie that I started to feel I might faint. There was so much shit that was happening in that movie that made me feel this way and it might sound strange but I loved that feeling of getting to a place where something is that intense.

It is truly a masterpiece and maybe one of the best horror to date. It was amazingly crafted in both cinematography, sound and an amazing atmosphere that you got to look long for!
