This is what I’ve been saying since the beginning. When people cried that GWM/PAM got nerfed, I kept pointing out that the DPR is more or less the same BUT:

1. Burstiness and frontloadedness is a lot better.
2. Lower damage builds are now a lot closer to the damage potential of an optimized one.

Ultimately these changes are good things, if they make it into the PHB. I have no idea if they will be doing that given that last video.
