Well Tom Nook is a tanuki, not a raccoon, so there's your problem
Woah, i only realise now that racoon dog and racoon is entirely different thing
For starters:
Racoon Dogs have gigantic ball sacks capable of killing a man. Crime Photo Here. It is told that some Tanuki capable of flight though it is rare.
