Biden walks back prediction of Monday cease-fire deal in Gaza: ‘Hopeful’ but ‘probably not’
A National Security Council spokesperson said a deadly incident Thursday in Gaza, in which at least 100 Palestinians were reportedly killed while waiting for aid, underscores the need for a cease-fire.
Biden never said there would be a ceasefire on Monday. He said he there was hope to have one then.
