This is actually a genius idea on how to continue the protests after the 14th. Even if the blackout won't last longer content creators should post content increasingly elswhere or additionally to reddit somewhere else and increase the viability of a replacement.
Funny enough, you're one of the content creators by commenting! The comments and discussions were my favorite part of reddit and we're bringing the comments with us over here to Lemmy!

Glad to see Lemmy finally taking off. I'm honestly scared the Reddit admins will buckle. This is where everyone should be. We can make this place as great as Reddit and it will be even better due to the decentralized nature of the network.

I proper up a number of smaller subs from my RSS feeds. Happy to be here. :) I felt a stir in the wind a few months ago and found this place and started to set up shop. I deleted ten years of content during the AMA. I thought I'd be more sad but I felt great.
