- Bigotry is as it says, bigotry. You should make fun of people for being bigots.
  
  The thing about being bigoted, is that it's literally impossible to avoid. You don't get to not be bigoted. You just get to pick which form of bigotry you prefer.
- My daughter is arachnophobic - being around spiders gives her a panic attack. But you know what she doesn't do? She doesn't think that all spiders should be eradicated. She knows intellectually that they're good, and that she is the one with the issue. She'd rather i capture a spider and take it outside than kill it.
  People like Pat Robertson are hateful bigots who don't want anyone to do anything that they don't approve of. Don't make it sound like we should accommodate them, we should not.

- Phobias aren't uncontrollable, they're irrational. The treatment for a phobia is exposure therapy because of how irrational it is to be scared of something that can't or won't hurt you. So if you chose not to seek treatment, you're the asshole and you should be ashamed of yourself.
I will always think of Oates as the Gooch from Scrubs. She had some good ukulele songs in there too and I was so excited to learn she had a real life music career.
