The initial person you replied to was a bit rude in the way it was portrayed, but I think they still have a valid point. Ideally, this would have been better to discuss before kids, and coming to the decision together after the talk as to whether they want kids. Now, if it doesn't work out, the kids are affected as well. Maybe that wasn't possible, or even if it was I can see how difficult that must be to bring up to your significant other. There's also a bunch I don't know about op or op's wife. Maybe op is fairly confident wife will be OK with this, which makes it less of an issue.
I think it's more that there are a lot of people that would not be OK being in a relationship with someone that is trans. Hopefully this persons wife is open and it doesn't cause friction in their relationship, but to act like that's not a possibility is being willfully ignorant.
Isn't combatants dressing as medics considered a war crime? I'm sure holding up in a hospital basically using innocent civilians as cover is as well. This entire situation seems completely fucked by both sides.
I'm on the mid tier at 15.49 a month. It hasn't seen a price hike with the last several price increases. The 4k tier went up(this caused me to switch plans. now I'm paying 15.49 instead of 19.99 like I was) and the bottom tier up or canceled to push the ad supported tier. This still feels like a good price to me. The library is definitely going downhill though, and if they hike it for WWE that might be enough to push me off.
Isn't this always online? Because they just added denuvo as well which seems pretty dumb if it's already always online.

PC either hard locks or blue screens. Ryzen 5900x 32 gigs ram 2080Super EVGA 750w power supply
Did all the driver suggestion online. SFC memtest etc. Stripped down to single stick of ram, tried both individually in different slots, GPU and ssd. GPU and ssd have been used in another pc without issue. Windows 10, 11 fresh installs. Tried pop os locked up during install twice. Just replaced my motherboard and the boot ssd and it was working for a few days, and is now doing the same lock up or dpc_watchdog. At this point, the only hardware that hasn't been swapped out to test is the power supply, cpu and case. And I've disconnected everything from the case save the power button.
I've been building my own pc's for over 20 years and have never encountered such a difficult to diagnose problem. Could it be the power supply? CPU? This is 90% brand new now and still giving me the same issue.
I really liked this series 15 years ago. Last one I played felt meh as if they really hadn't improved the series at all. This one still looks like it came out 10 years ago, but has dragons. Have a feeling this series just needs to stay a fond nostalgic memory for me.
Maybe it was more fun as a kid as I had people to play with.
As an American that also uses a kettle the occasional times I make tea, is it that they think the microwave is unhealthy, or just that a kettle is better. Because I know with the kettle I can set the temp, and from what I understand some teas are better brewed at different temps. With the microwave, you kinda just have boil.
Didn't opera cache images on their server and feed you a lower res version instead of what the website had? Granted with the limited bandwidth available back then, that was fine but now I don't think many people would want that.

Oregonians who qualify for food assistance can now request SNAP benefits to replace food they had to throw out due to power outages related to the storms that occurred from January 12, 2024 through January 17, 2024. Replacement benefits can be requested by phone, email, or by visiting a local Oregon Department of Human Services office.
This waiver applies to households in Benton, Clackamas, Columbia, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington, and Yamhill counties, and more information from ODHS can be found here.
When widespread power outages hit our communities, families have enough struggles to deal with without losing out on food they can’t afford to replace.

Yup. Hated cable because so much of the bill went to sports with no way to opt out. Canceled prime when they raised the price with the announcement of football. Will cancel Netflix if this increases the price a bunch. Sports should all be premium add-ons. Let the people that like that crap pay for it.

If you don't know the dog, you're probably right that it's not worth the risk. I'd guess those 2 have been friends their whole life though. I know with the golden I had that she was always great with any person or animal she came in contact with.

I consider the social interactions as part of the job. I can play nice and engage when I'm on the clock, and then I go home and forget work exists. If someone is being really chatty and I need to get stuff done, I just politely say something along the lines of, need to finish this, better get back to it. But if they aren't keeping me from getting work done, I can fake it until I go home.
Oregon/Washington is like this. As far as I know, if you live in WA but work in Oregon, you pay a reduced non resident tax rate to Oregon. You're still using the public resources that taxes cover such as roads.
For example I'd like to browse all of the gaming communities at the same time. !gaming@lemmy.world and !gaming@beehaw.org etc. Something like all or local but for custom user created groups. This wasn't really an issue on reddit, but would be useful the way lemmy works.
Currently running Kali on my laptop as that's all it was used for. Looking for something more general purpose. Mainly steam for light gaming and being able to install the tools from Kali for stuff like tryhackme. Mostly familiar with Debian, as that's what Kali is based on, but willing to try something else. Laptop is this Acer.
I did the check for adding 2FA and got the pop up saying to save, scroll down and do something. But didn't see the info on the page after so I unchecked 2FA and saved again. Now any time I try to log in, I'm being asked for my 2FA token, which I don't have because I never finished setting it up due to not seeing the link to complete. I'm still logged in via liftoff, but don't think I can change that setting here. Any way to fix this or will I need to create a new account?
