I've read variations of the egg theory for years and I also enjoyed the Kurzgesagt YouTube episode ... I always liked the idea that there could only be one life or consciousness in the universe without the one being knowing it understanding it.
The horror here is not a big deal for someone who is open to the idea.
But the discussion of death and the idea that their religious beliefs could be completely wrong would be disturbing to many people.

I don't know if I would call this horror. But it is very sweet.
I agree. Reminded me a bit of The Egg.
I think it depends on what and how you believe in life and death in this life. It doesn't sound like someone like you is bothered by it. But many people that grow up with deeply held life long beliefs would find it disturbing.
I have to agree with the previous comment. I do not find this horrific or even disturbing, but very comforting.
Can you help us understand what aspects of this you feel some people might find discomforting?
