Tawny Owl Spa Day

With news of extra plentiful rodents this year in Europe, I didn't expect owls to be forced into gig work there, but it seems British owls are not exempt from resorting to becoming chimney sweeps there either.

This Tawny Owl got herself stuck in a chimney this week. After a nice spa treatment and some tasty snacks, she's getting her life back in order.

I like the little smile on her fluffy face! 😍

It's not every day you have to bathe a Tawny Owl in your kitchen sink! DO NOT try this at home!

Piper the Tawny Owl was taken to our Manage, Maz, after being stuck in a chimney for 5 days! Maz was able to get most of the soot off before bringing her in for further treatment. She was very thin and had a sore eye, but after a few days of eye drop treatment and a plentiful supply of mice, she is starting to perk up a bit.
