Most photos I see of Hawk Owls look alike as they're typically dead on from the front. It's a great look to be sure, but variety is fun too.
These pics show us the side and rear view we don't get to see as much, giving a more complex and complete image of this stern looking bird.
I hope nobody minds the owl having a snack. Apologies if it is a negative for anyone. It's what he does, and the photo was just so good I didn't want to leave it out or blur it and distract from the image as a whole. Especially with the great view of the talons!
