Imagine a character who has nothing but mimics for gear and the only thing keeping them all in line is sheer terror.
- I just feel bad for the loincloth mimic.

  there's a special genre of erotic content across all mediums like that (though mainly hentai)
- Undead Unluck has a character who constantly regenerates his body and wears a mimic as clothing. It would be pretty practical for adventuring.

In games I run, mimics hate being covered in alcohol because it dissolves their sticky goo stuff, but can still be bribed with beer because it makes them feel great.

Hypothetically, could a mimick turn into the beer, get drank by the barbarian, and then turn into a giant causing the barbarian to explode?
- In 3.5 at least, if you're in a space that isn't big enough for you to change size, RAW you just...don't.
  
  You don't have to change size to become something of the same size that is razor sharp and next to some very unarmored innards.
