  Yeah it's development for later game, gotta lay those creep tumors so that all of the pieces get +1 movement.
"Book move" just means "move that's part of a recognized opening/variant", and many known openings/variants are highly dodgy.
Not the safest, but is safer dor sure.
it can't even be black's move when white is in check...
