I’ve been using it since it was in Test Flight. It’s really good. I actually didn’t use Apollo so if Memmy is anything like it then I was missing out for sure.
Apollo was the sole reason why I even used Reddit as much as I did for the past years. Interestingly enough, before I deleted my account I went through all my posts and comments and noticed almost a 4-year break in posts and comments completely.
I think I was just pretty much lurking around that time and when I started posting content again was right around the time I discovered Apollo. Luckily Memmy is a great substitute!
I’ve also been using Mlem that’s still in beta but is coming along very nicely!
I shit you not, this is uncomfortably accurate. I was living it up, having finally tossed Reddit and also called it done with Twitter. Loving this space. Loving the vibe. And then all this Threads shit just becomes everything and I really do feel like this meme.
Do we have any numbers on growth across all lemmy instances since Monday? I'd really like to see it. Maybe even going back to the Reddit api announcement. It feels like theirs been a ton since Monday at least. I signed up a few weeks ago.
Zuckerberg annoys the living daylights out of me. He had one good idea and now anyone that starts to take users away from his platform he just poaches them and makes it worse. He really needs to be stopped.
