Yeah, slavery is the norm in prisons, not the exception.
The Arkansas Governor's Mansion even uses slave labor or at least it did back when a certain future president and future perennial candidate lived there and before that.
Probably not even the only government building in the South either, or even the only Governor's Mansion to do so.
13th Amendment literally allows for slavery as punishment for a crime.
This needs to change.
Yeah, I don't know what they're hoping to accomplish with this. Seems more likely that they'll just affirm the legality of this and make it worse in the long run.
